A little bit about how we were conceived
Melissa Renee McMillen, President and Designer of Melissa Renee Maternity, dreamed about designing clothes since she was a young girl. "I remember sketching ideas in the margins of my class notes. I was constantly trying to think of unique ideas and drawling was a great creative outlet for me."
After high school Melissa attended the International Academy of Design in Tampa, FL to study Fashion Design. After some experience in the maternity wear industry and during her second pregnacy, Melissa decided to start her line of clothing with maternity wear.
With the help of her mother and husband, Melissa Renee Maternity was born February of 2007. "I love designing clothes for the pregnant mom because I love making them feel great. My pregnancies aren't always queezy free, so I understand the need for comfortable and stylish maternity clothes....they always made me feel a little better!"
